The Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. It has been declared a pandemic by the WHO and has affected more than 180 countries and territories worldwide. To control it from spreading further, the need of the hour is to deploy widespread screening and testing procedures to identify and isolate those showing symptoms.
Most effective way to prevent infections and save lives is breaking the chains of transmission, and to do that, you must test and isolate. We have a simple message for every country – test…test…test. Test every suspected case, if they test positive, isolate them, and who they have been in close contact with. And test them too.
